The Kindred Speakeasy

Upon walking through the door to the Vampire's room there is an open bit of space, to the right is a raised banister and a set of stairs that goes up to the Prince's office and further in is the entry way into what looks like a smaller version of a speakeasy only this one private and strictly for the Vampires and their company. The floors are made of polished stone, though there is a slight grip to them, a subtle bonus to those who wear business style shoes and also a boon to those who choose to wear sneakers that their shoes might not squeak and draw undue attention to them when they make their entrance. The acoustics, however, become noticed immediately as the foot steps taken reverberate back to echo slightly. The soft music playing through the place is also heard, often culturally diverse but thematic of the 20's.

Once through the entry way, there is a comfortable looking room filled with seating of all kind, tables to set drinks and if you were so inclined, food upon. A large mirror rests to the right of the room, for those who liked to look at themselves or, perhaps for another reason altogether. The lighting was relatively low, but still bright enough to read by without straining your eyes too much, but it was the atmosphere and the ambiance that took a front seat in this room. A true feeling of the 20's era speakeasy fused with the luxuries of modern day convenience. A bit further on is the first of two bars in this room, holding bottles and drafts ranging from the extra premium top shelf on down to more common drinks. Though you will find nothing like street brand common fare within these walls. In fact the bar itself holds some exotic and highly sought after types of liquor, from aged whiskey's and scotch, to rare wine vintages. There is always staff within the havens, serving, tending bar or even entertaining. The Kindred room is never empty.

To the right as you continue in deeper to the Vampire rooms you will see all manner of small message boxes along the wall, each one rented out to those who might wish to receive messages in a more, anonymous nature. Keys are of course part of the rental of the box and the bearer of the keys is able to open their box as needed. There are safeguards in place should there be those who choose to meddle with the privacy of the message boxes, thus it would be wise to leave them be, unless of course you're just checking your own.

Behind the first bar you will see that the room continues on and to the left is a much longer bar, with more selection and more staff present to ensure your order is taken, several seats run the length of the bar for those alone but the next thing one might see is that the back area of the Vampire room is for more lax and perhaps even restful encounters. Rolling chaises made for multiple people are set up as opposed to couches or chairs. Here people will find that the lighting is turned down much lower to allow for rest, as an emergency place to bed down if one were so inclined.

Beyond the bar itself is a small hall that leads to private rooms for use by the city's acknowledged or visiting kindred if they do not have a current haven of their own. It is expected that no kindred would abuse the hospitality of the havens, of course, it should be noted that some of the rooms are occupied by the occasional fae as well.
