Scavenger Wisdom

Rule #1: Nobody goes into the wilds at night.
Rule #2: Work in groups.
Rule #3: Always carry spare water and food, since you won’t be out at night or for extended periods, this
should be easy.
Rule #4: If you MUST be out after dark do NOT stop trying to get home. Assume you are being hunted at
all times and act accordingly.
Rule #5: If you are alone, you die.
Rule #6: Trust is more valuable than gold. So make sure your word is good.
Rule #7: Things that hold the most value likely aren’t things that used to hold value.
Rule #8: Always prepare for the cold.
Rule #9: Always prepare for the rain. It isn’t just water anymore, it will burn and it will hurt and it will
kill. Prepare accordingly.
Rule #10: Never be caught without a light.
Rule #11: Strangers in the wildlands are likely in the wildlands for a reason. Approach with all due
caution.
Rule #12: Bullets aren’t necessarily the best choice in defense.
Rule #13: Attention is not your friend.
Rule #14: Pay close attention to any birds you see. If it’s alone and it doesn’t look like a hawk, get the
hell out.
Rule #15: Keep your feet dry.
Rule #16: Cities are NOT your friend.
Rule #17: When interacting with strangers, always watch the hands. If they have the shakes, get the hell
out as fast as you can. I mean it; you turn and run as fast as possible.
Rule #18: Fresh food often isn’t.
Rule #19: Beware of bulging plastic and metal. Trust me.
Rule #20: Never carry more than you can run with.
