The battle was won, that was the resounding call through the nation or at least what was left of it. The garou had sent their strongest, wisest and most cunning to die gloriously in battle against the combined forces of the wyrm. There were so many casualties that it was clear the nation itself would never recover and many were content to leave this as a job well done. No one had thought to see about rebuilding and still others had only one goal in mind; to die gloriously.

And so the wheel continues to turn and a new age has dawned. The garou did not vanish, the world had not ended but the devastation brought about by the final battle was felt across the world. In each country there was a battle that resounded across its people. The ahadi was no more, the nation as a whole no longer existed, the kingdoms of jade had been destroyed or abandoned and the Sentai’s of the east were all but wiped out in the battle with the Yama kings. Elder vampires rose to devour their young, the ghost wars raged out of control and with it came terrible repercussions emotionally through the globe, hatreds were amplified, depressions crushing, obsessions overwhelming. The fallout was immense.

Among the humans tensions flared, war had broken out across the third world nations. China and Russia began competing for resources as the Russian economy began to collapse. America had begun to experience total economic meltdown and civil war had broken out across the country as the poor declared war on the rich. Factions began to grow out of the people. But the supernatural had always dealt with upstart human groups attempting to form. And so this went on for years until the supernatural began to take notice as their kind began to disappear more and more.

The final battle was not without its mistakes. With everyone’s priorities set on preventing the end of all things a few points behind the litany went ignored. Some didn’t say anything if a little man flesh was eaten and still others might have forgotten what the veil was, after all, the end times were here, who would survive anyway? But, some did survive and they would be the ones who would need to face the end of the cycle. Those who died in the final battle were the lucky ones. Vampires, werewolves, fera, mages and all manner of supernatural had made a showing of themselves in the short sighted goal of “saving the world”. Many did not believe that humans once they had found out could be so unforgiving and still others felt they were owed something because of their sacrifice and service to protecting those who could not protect themselves. Perhaps with the idea that racism and gender equality could be abolished no doubt humans could accept the supernatural as well. But, as some have said over the years, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”

The world knew. And with that knowledge they sought more. Hatred of the misunderstood and unknown soared to new heights. Organizations were born out of the fires of change and religion had grown exponentially as the supernatural menace became the devil in everyone’s eye. Vampires were the first to begin disappearing. Their meddling through the millennia was blamed on everything from the 1% to the removal of the McDonald’s dollar menu. It wasn’t long before mages became targets and as these battles to remove the supernatural menace from the hearts and minds of the people began to succeed these organizations grew in power. People began to fear the unknown less and hate it more. Prejudice and Purity became buzzwords and soon Werewolves began to feel the sting of silver as well. Public execution became the order of the day as well as displays of torture and suffering. Supernatural creatures were deemed as inhuman and thus undeserving of human rights. Witch hunts and lynching became common place and worst of all, the best way to survive was to turn on your own and hope you could survive the fire.

There were refuge’s out there, small places that offered hope to some. And there were those who sought to win back rights for their kind. Still others who simply fought to survive while others made a life out of running. For the werewolves, caerns had fallen and still others were taken or destroyed. Asia had no representation anymore in an official sept or caern. South America had been all but gutted of any supernatural presence and Europe was in the very tedious hands of the vampires. America had a small presence of Garou and was the newest nation to rally under the banners of religious prejudice. Instead vying for riches that no one truly had.

The time has come to make a choice. Where will you end up in the fight for survival? Who's side are you on and how long will you remain there? These are just some of the basic choices you must make as we weave this, tainted web.
